I don't actively seek crags or rock although I do enjoy a good scramble, I also have no interest in a long hard slog just to climb a mountain by a way little used. Maybe this doesn't make me a purist or anything but its what ive decided.

Haven't stayed in a bothy yet although I can imagine its a good laugh.

Just to let you all know (and Mr Chris Bowls - who started this all off), I managed to get round Lochnagar back wards on Saturday (and got all five munroes in the process). You were right - a long hard slog starting in darkness and ending in darkness, but a brilliant day out - even got to see Chalie on horse back shooting things (not us thankfully). Thanks all for the help and advice.

Cheers, good to hear you had a good day, I imagine you must have had pretty good weather.

Hi Chris, We started very early (about 6.30) and the dawn was amazing, then the higher we got it got a bit gloomy and then the inevitable white outs for a bout an hour. Once off number two the sun came out and it was perfect walking conditions.
