The Ben Lui range. 24 Aug 2007
A few comments about these 4 mountains. My friend Eddie and i did all four on the 22nd August which as most of you will know was a very warm day.Make sure you have plenty of water because this is a very demanding traverse. We started at the Dalrigh Car Park at 8.10am and didn`t get back until 7pm.Doing it this way you more or less climb Ben Lui twice.Probably the worst part of the whole day though was the descent from Beinn Dubhchraig down the path beside the Allt Coire Dubhchraig. This path was horrendously boggy in places and every now and then the mud was half way up the gaiters.I would say avoid this if you possibly can,but maybe i`m not as young as i used to be!!

Cycled in to the farm in June (last very hot day) and then did the round.

Ben Lui via central gulley and then the trade route to Beinn a Chleibh. Contoured round Lui on the way back thus avoiding any reascent (useful stream along this route) and then up the final two.

As we had to return to the bikes we avoided the boggy path and wandered back to the farm over pathless but reasonable terrain.

Took just under 8 hours, I'd highly recommend biking the walk in/out.
