Winter Walking - Glen Affric 14 Dec 2009

If you are looking for somewhere to test out your shiny Christmas presents and get rid of the mince pie tyre then the end of Jan in Glen Affric is the place to be.

We organise WinterFest 2010 which is the only winter walking festival there is. Our aims are to get people out and into the winter environment to learn and practice skills and enjoy the fantastic wilderness that we have. So if you want to go for a high level little used route or want to just find out about walking with crampons and arresting with an ice axe then this is for you.

Visit and look at the full programme or just get in touch to ask about it.

For a fledgling winter walker, this seems like an ideal and sociable way to learn about Scottish winter mountains without the formality of a 'full-on' winter skills course at Glemore Lodge.

Hope that you have a sucessful weekend for the course Tim and the evening with Colin Prior for the photographers amongst the members is a must!!!!
