Where the access routes are few or the ridge is narrow, paths are generally obvious. On open ground, following paths without using your compass may get you lost in poor visibility.

excellent early winter outing good track to white bridge and beyond and short climb to summit easy 3km ridge walk on short turf, with wind at our back tremendous views up Lairig Ghru and devils point, carn a mhaim, derry cairngorm, bein bhrotain etc winter coats now on only 5hrs 15 min including over 1 hr breaks

Save this for a nice day the views are awesome. A good route to take is the one recomended here.
