In winter months please check the local snow conditions at sais.gov.uk.

The hillphones service can inform you of stalking activities in the area.

Usually the shortest way to climb the mountain, making best use of tracks and paths to gain altitude. Route navigation requires map reading skills and an ability to navigate with a compass.

The information given here will enable you to annotate your map and plan your route. We do not give anecdotal descriptions on where to find the paths, worn by the feet of previous mountaineers.

Where the access routes are few or the ridge is narrow, paths are generally obvious. On open ground, following paths without using your compass may get you lost in poor visibility.

Truly exceptional views from this hill - a sheer delight. But if you can manage this route in 3.5 hours I doubt you'll have time to take in the views! 4.5 - 5.00 hours nearer the mark.

Did this on a very warm day, hence the time. Also did not return by outward route. Continued down the west ridge which leaves a walk back along the road. All in all a great mountain in a lovely location.

Arnisdale is a lovely village and the home made "Way up hill sign" whilst worn definitely helps find the start. Follow the route indicated by Munro Magic for simplicity via the obvious path head west and returned the same way. A lovely hill that presents no problems. This took 3.5hrs on a horrendously bad weather day. Save for a good day and you'll love the views

Offers certainly one of the handful of best views from the top of any Munro in Scotland. I could not find the western approach driving down the road into Arnisdale so I just did the slog up and back from there. Thanks to the view and relative shortness of the walk I probably spent more time on that summit than any other I have trod. Definately save this one for a beautiful easy day.

Stunning views from an overlooked mountain. Real "top of the world" feeling from the summit ridge. Don't save it for a rainy quick day, do it for the views! 4 hours good minimum time for traverse in either direction.
