An Garbhanach is almost obscuring An Gearanach, although the Western slopes of the hill can be seen bathed in sunlight. This photo was taken from the eastern ridge of Stob Coire a' Chairn. Ben Nevis, and Carn Mor Dearg can be seen further to the North.

An Gearanach and An Garbhanach viewed from Stob Coire a Chairn. Although, as can be seen on this picture, the descent is extremely steep it isn't as bad as it might appear.

The slighly nerve wracking river crossing required near the start of the path to An Gearanach. If you really can't face it it is possible to cross a wooden bridge another mile or so further along - but it's good fun to try the wire "bridge".
