Mountain Description
|
|
|
The summit ridge of Beinn Iaruinn runs SW to NE. The SE slopes are steep with unusual shelves known as the parallel roads, which are believed to be the shorelines of an ancient loch. The NW slopes on the other hand have a more gentle incline. Coire nan Eun is cut into the summit ridge of Beinn Iaruinn so much that the summit overlooks the corrie. An ascent is possible up the steep SE slopes, but an ascent from Glenfintaig (to the SW) will give an easier ascent.
