Mountain Description
Benvane and Ben Ledi are the two highest tops on a mountain that runs SE to NW on the western shore of Loch Lubnaig. The two hills can therefore be climbed in a single traverse if transport can be arranged. Benvane is a grassy hill with few rocky outcrops and an easy ascent. Benvane is best accessed by its long N ridge either from Ballimore to the N or via the tracks which climb its forested E slopes.

Climbed with Paula. Started at Ballimore farm and picked our way up from there at a leisurely pace in a little under 3 hours. There were a fair few hummocks to go over, meaning that often there was downhill parts in the ascent, which is a little frustrating, but this is a fine hill nonetheless. A clear day with fabulous views all around.

After crossing the bridge at Ballimor Farm, the right of way takes you to a gate, marked with a "right of way" sign, after the gate, there is a distinct path, but this is not the way to the summit, follow the line of fence posts which head due south, this puts you on the correct line
