Mountain Description
Beinn Mhic Chasgaig has two main ridges running W and NE plus a short ridge SE connecting to Creise via col (695m). This hill has steep slopes, frequently with exposed rock. The approach from the W where there is a bridge, is often barred by a locked gate and one is faced with crossing the river with its attendant risks or a long walk in from Kingshouse. If coming from the bridge, then the track/path S into Coire Ghiubhasan makes an ascent to the SE ridge the preferred route. If walking in from Kingshouse then the NE ridge gives an easy ascent
