Mountain Description
|
|
|
The head-wall of Coire a' Bhuiridh, which lies just to the E of Loch Ailort is formed by 6 significant peaks, 3 of which are deemed to be Corbetts. These are An Stac (814m)(Corbett), Rois-Bheinn and Sgurr na Ba Glaise (874m) (Corbett) and consequently they are climbed as a group. An Stac is the most distinct peak, whereas Rois-Bhein and Sgurr na Ba Glaise lie on a ridge running from Rois-Bheinn in the W to An t-Slat-bheinn in the E, where the ridge then turns NNE to Druim Fiaclach (869m) and Beinn Coire nan Gall (787m). These hills are not well supplied with access paths so the routes tend to go from top to top. Rois-Bheinn has a rocky N face and twin tops 878m and 882m
