Sgurr a' Bhac Chaolais lies at the W end of the S Glen Shiel ridge and lies just to the E of Sgurr na Sgine (Munro) so should be climbed whilst you are up there bagging Munros. However, if you missed it, then a path leads to Bealach Duibh Leac on its W shoulder and it is an easy walk to the summit from there. Whilst the N face of Sgurr a'Bhac Chaolais is steep an craggy, there is easy ascent to the E and W shoulders. Sgurr a'Bhac Chaolais is connected to Buidhe Bheinn, which is of identical height and therefore a contender for the Corbett title, by a ridge that curves S round the head Coire Reidh. As it is not clear which is the Corbett, climb both to be sure.
