Mountain Description
Leathad an Taobhain is a remote hill amongst a cluster of summits and is best climbed with Carn Dearg Mor (Corbett) which lies to its N. From Carn Dearg Mor, a hill track then path leads to the summit, which aids navigation on this remote sprawling hill. There are deep glens to the NW of Leathad an Taobhain, but otherwise the summit lies in high undulating moorland.

Climbed this hill in a monster bike'n'hike day from Blair Atholl to Aviemore inc. Beinn Dearg. The one section of the cross country route not navigable on two wheels is the miles south of Leathad an Taobhain on the Minigaig, which is intermittent and difficult to follow on the high plateau before it descends to Glen Bruar.
