| Hartaval is one of two Grahams on The Trotternish Ridge on Skye, a magnificent ridge running N to S on the Trotternish peninsula in the NE of the island. The ridge falls to the E in steep cliffs and buttresses almost entirely along its length. The Graham The Storr (which is the highest point on the ridge) lies just under 2km to the SE across the Bealach a' Chuirn, and it makes sense to climb the two together, although a complete traverse of the ridge has much to commend itself. A car park at the N end of Loch Leathan on the A855 Staffin road provides the most convenient access. |
