Arkle Cottage (Self Catering)

Arkle is in a quiet location over looking Lairg and Loch Shinn on the edge of Gunn’s plantation. With wonderful views over Loch Shin and the distant hills to the front of the cottage and immediate access to the woodlands behind offering tranquil walks.

Arkle has an open plan kitchen/diner/lounge with open fire, TV and patio doors. A flight of five steps takes you to the landing, leading on to one double bedroom, one twin bedroom and bathroom with electric shower. Each bedroom has an electric panel heater. Each bed also has an electric blanket for when the snow comes! The kitchen has a fridge with icebox, electric cooker, microwave and washing machine/tumble drier. The kitchen also boasts a full complement of utilities including cafetiere, toaster, cutlery, crockery, pots and pans. To the side of the cottage is a clothes line and to the rear is a garden approx. 20m long backing on to Gunn’s plantation.

The cottage is fitted with a smoke alarm. No smoking is allowed within the cottage.

There are many beautiful walks around Lairg of varying degrees of difficulty from gentle strolls upwards. Visit the Lairg town website for more information on the walks around Lairg. For the more adventurous, there are 2 Munros close by:- Ben Klibrek and Ben Hope and of course Arkle which is a Corbett
