Inverour Guest house is situated in Spean Bridge, just 9 miles outside Fort William, with stunning views towards the Grey Corries, Anoch Mor and Ben Nevis we feel we are one of the most ideally situated guest houses for mountain walking enthusiasts especially when it comes to Munros and Corbetts.
To the North of us there is a total of 33 Munros, around Glen Shiel, Loch Quoich,Glen Affric and Knoydart. East are 25 Munros in the areas of Loch Laggan, Loch Trieg, Loch Ossain and Loch Enicht. To the south we have 18 taking in the Grey Corries, Ben Nevis, Aonachs, and the Mamores West there are 5 in the area of Loch Lochy, Loch Arkaig, Glen Dessary and Loch Eil Of all these areas that have the Munro’s don’t forget that the Corbetts are not far behind with heights 762 metres to 914 metres and often are as big a challenge, as the coveted Munro’s, again we are spoilt for choice. With many just a 30 to 50 minute drive away I would class that as a walkers paradise. The village offers places to eat from pub grub to full blown restaurant meals, so you won’t struggle for somewhere to eat. As fellow retired walkers we understand your needs from early breakfasts, to weather forecasts, balanced packed lunches just for that mountain terrain, a drying room, for those bad days, when you are soaked to the skin and we do our utmost to get those boots dry although they do represent a challenge, especially on the boggy walks, we will even put those smelly tops through the wash for you at a small cost of course! Due to irresponsible dog owners we are sorry to say that we can no longer accommodated dogs. Most rooms are en-suite, although we do have some standard rooms and new for this year we have a triple en-suite room and a triple standard room all single beds, as well as our 2 single rooms, and double en-suites. There is a small reading lounge, conservatory, where you can bring along a wee dram if you so wish to relax after that long day in the mountains, watching the sun set over the Grey Corries, changing them to a variety of crimsons.
