The Firs is a friendly
family run guesthouse in a quiet village in Highland Perthshire at the gateway to the Cairngorms and on the edge of the Cairngorms National Park. All rooms are ensuite with courtesy coffee/tea tray, tv/dvd etc and we offer twin, double and family/triple rooms with discounts for single occupancy at most times. Enjoy our cosy guests lounge with its woodburning stove on those chilly evenings and in the morning our full Scottish Breakfast will set you up for the challenges
ahead. Helping to dry you gear and bike storage is part of the service.
We are ideally situated for your assault on the three peaks of the Beinn a'
Ghlo Massif as well as Beinn Dearg and Carn a' Chlamain - we also offer bike
hire for the long run up (and back down!) Glen Tilt and Glen Banvie.
Schiehallion and Ben Lawers are an easy, spectacularly picturesque drive from
the Firs.
Blair Atholl offers pub grub year round, also during the main visitor season :
fish & chips / pizza and daytime Watermill tea-room whilst Pitlochry, 7
miles
south, has a wider range of eateries. For the support team, Blair Castle and
the House of Bruar are virtually on our doorstep and well worth a visit.
We are less than 2 hours by car from Glasgow and Aberdeen and 90 minutes
from Edinburgh and Inverness. Blair Atholl station is on the main Perth to Inverness line.
