Peter and Lesley McIntosh welcome you to their West Highland Guest House in the village of Spean Bridge. Together they have 40 years experience of the Lochaber area and their aims are to give you excellent service, great food and the inside knowledge of the local area.

Distant Hills has a peaceful setting amidst some of the most spectacular scenary in the Highlands of Scotland. We are 15 minutes from the the North Face car park of Ben Nevis and 20 minutes from Creag Meagaidh. There are numerous munros and corbetts within a short drive and because Spean Bridge sits on the junction of the A82 and A86 you can travel to any point on the compass.

Breakfast

At breakfast we aim to provide a wide and tasty choice sourcing our food locally where possible. Early breakfasts are possible by prior arrangement as are packed lunches. If you would prefer a rate without breakfast please ask.

The Rooms

Distant Hills offers seven comfortable bedrooms with ensuite shower rooms. There are four doubles and three twins. The majority of the rooms have a view of the garden or the burn (stream).

The majority of the rooms have flat screen TVs with built in DVD players. The rooms benefit from 24 hour individually controlled heating.

Facilities

To help you relax and unwind after a hard day on the hill there is a large bright guest lounge with comfy sofas and armchairs overlooking the garden.

We have free high speed broadband wifi including the latest fast "n" standard in the public areas.

Eating out

There are a number of eating places in the village and several more in the outlying area. There is a restaurant to suit everyone's pocket from a two AA rosette restaurant to family orientated restaurants so please ask for guidance.
