We are situated 9 miles south of the
idyllic fishing village Ullapool and 2 miles north from the
Braemore Junction, where you can see the spectacular Measach
Falls in the Corrieshalloch Gorge.
Set in the heart of Strathmore next to the River Broom and
the Lael Forest, there is an abundance of delightful walks
nearby with some interesting fauna, wildlife and geology. Guests are welcome to relax in our garden area and watch the variety of birds and red squirrels that often visit.
On the doorstep are more Munros and Corbetts than you can
shake a stick at. Beinn Dearg and her companions can be
climbed immediately from the house and the Fannichs, An
Teallach and Fisherfield are all within a few
miles.
The bunkhouse was built in 2009 and offers a pleasant and
clean environment with modern facilities. There are two
bedrooms and each bedroom has two bunkbeds and its very own
en-suite shower and toilet. The bunkhouse also benefits from
an underfloor heating system so to keep the whole bunkhouse
nice and cosy and reliable showers, perfect after a long
hard day on the hills. There is a shared lounge/dining area and kitchen with full cooking facilities, fridge and plenty of storage. Drying room. Free wireless broadband connection. Off road parking and secure area for bicycles.
We also have B&B available at the house (see website for full details).
